Fixed height bar stools are available in one of two guises; with round bases and with legs. Fixed height stools with round bases tend to be more contemporary designs, whereas those with legs are often more traditional or retro designs. Fixed height stools give your kitchen or breakfast bar a more uniform look as all the stools are kept in the same position, ideal if you want a crisp, minimalist look and feel. It is important to note that with fixed height stools, kitchen work tops are usually at around 90cm to the underside of the surface, so a stool that is from 65cm to 70cm is ideal, and for higher commercial counters, which are 100cm to 110cm, a stool height of 75 cm to 80cm is ideal.
